Title: Reaching for Time

Genre: Adventure | Action | Sci-Fi

 

This is a mid-budget, high action TV show, it will be a multi country production, Canada and United States of America, utilising the local technical crews and financial benefits which come with this. Will be forty four minutes per episode to allow the show to be shown in America to comply with their format structure for this type of program.

Tonally this will be created in a fast-moving, quick paced dialogue manner. The theme will be taking influence from shows like Firefly (1999), Misfits (2009 – 2013), Alias (2001 – 2006), Prison Break (2005 – 2009). Target audience is the 16-24 key demographic.

Premise:

A twin’s journey to discover their past

 

Log Line:

Twins Xavi and Christina searching for their Mother to overcome the dictator Lord Peterson. Using their supernatural skills, can they reach her before time runs out.

 

Elevator Pitch:

Twins separated from their mother to spare their lives as they hold the key to bringing down the Evil Order. She possesses the power of Persuasion, the brother Water Manipulation.

As they get closer they age another year and their mother loses information on how to bring down the Evil Empire.

Cast Biographies:

 

Sepiida Flood

Not much is known of Sepiida’s childhood, she was found outside the City of Novum Eboracum General Hospital at a young age with a note asking to be looked after and the only possession in the basket she was laying in, was a necklace with an ornate design. She has to learn quickly in the orphanage to stand up to the bullies (fellow orphans and members of staff) and once she got a handle of them, she knew how to work the system for her own means. She took as many extra after school lessons as possible, to better herself and mainly to not have to interact with the other orphans and staff. Master Jacob, the one member of staff who she trusted, helped her apply for the Novum Eboracum Police Departments under privileged child program, which she gained access to and passed as the youngest recruit at distinction level which still has not been surpassed. Through hard graft and ridiculous hours, she has slowly moved up the ranks of the Department to Sergeant in the Investigation of Special Appointment Division, a renounced area of the Police force which deals with numerous shady departments within the Novum Eboracum government which are not disclosed to the general public.

 

Parvis Everman

The oldest of twenty nine children, Parvis was always going to be working for the good of social, he just didn’t know how this was going to be achieved until one of his sisters went missed and an officer of the Novum Eboracum Police Department helped his family find her. From that day, he took all the exams and modules needed to join the force. Starting as a lowly traffic officer in the most down and crime ridden districts of the city. Unfortunately, he lost the sight in one eye after chasing a bank robber down the street and being hit by a hover jeep, the scars are a constant reminder of these days on the street. But through perseverance and luck he has worked his way up the ladder to the the Investigation of Special Appointment Division. Married to his childhood sweet heart, he is grateful for everything that his family has done and would do anything for his wife, children and especially his work partner Sepiida Flood, who he has worked with for the last five years.

 

Christina Peterson

Taken away from her Mother at the age of four, once their father discovered the power she possesses, she can never really remember the features of her Mother except for the smile which could melt even the most harden of warriors. Using her power of persuasion, she is determined to find her parent with any means. But her emotional connection with her Brother can never be broken, even with all the Novum Eboracum government officials after them. She is the twin who will over analysis a situation prior to deciding on any action which is the polar opposite to her brother.

 

Xavi Peterson

Since he can remember, Xavi has been overly protective of his sister Christina, never allowing strangers to get close or try to harm her. He is the outspoken wise cracking of the pair. Act first and then deal with the consequences afterwards. Always trying to mask his burden of being an outcast of possesses the super power water manipulation.

 

Lord Peterson

The commander and saviour of the City Novum Eboracum, no one is allowed to dispute his decisions or they will feel the wrath of his powers. When his twins were born from his affair with a lower servant in his quarters. He banished them to the darkest reaches of his kingdom, as he knew that having his siblings together with their Mother would crumble the empire.

 

Oriana Peterson

Since a child she had worked at a maid within the Lord Peterson household, becoming a pleasure maid once she turned of age, her only friend was her younger brother Savas, who worked in the castle gardens as a huntsman. She caught the eye of Lord Peterson when he saw her perform in a cabaret style show for his birthday. Since then she became his Karayuki-san. Having fallen pregnant, she was banished to a wing of his castle until the twins (Xavi and Christina) were born. She has not been seen in public since a few years after their birth, mystery surrounds where she is and what powers she seems to be holding over Lord Peterson and his government.

 

Savas Peterson

Growing up was hard for Savas, not knowing who his parents were and having just his sister Oriana to trust. All he has known in life is working for his master Lord Peterson as a huntsman in the vast wilderness of his grounds. He has vowed to get his revenge of the Lord since he took his sister in as a Karayuki-san and slowly crushed her to a fraction of her previously happy life. He disappeared from the district days after his sister went missing and has not been seen since, but rumours have always been surfacing of an underground alliance being run by this strong brave warrior.

 

Service Robot 2915A-w

A police droid who has worked for Sepiida Flood and Parvis Everman for the past three years. Always dependable and a stickler to the rules. But would do anything possible to keep his colleagues safe and out of danger. Even with upgrades, Bolts as Sepiida likes to call him, has no sense of humour or tact which drives everyone into fits of laugher. Bringing them closer together as a unit in work and leisure time.

 

Officer Candace

A new recruit or ‘Fish” as the seasoned staff at the Novum Eboracum Police Department kindly refers to them. He lives and breathes the law force. Always eager to do extra hours and work in the districts no one else would ever volunteer let alone want to be tasked in. His clear conscience and strict religious upbringing maybe the one way this mystery of how to take down the Empire is found.

 

 

Story arc for season one, plus over the following two:

Series Plan 1:

Slowly bringing together the twins with Police Officers Sepiida and Parvis.

Find out out the connection between them all. Ends with reaching their Uncle who is leading a resistance against the Empire.

 

Series Plan 2:

Starting to get revenge with their evil Father but missing out in a chance as Parvis dies in an attack trying to rescue Oriana.

 

Series Plan 3:

Finally, find their Mother and together they take down the evil empire and the destruction of Lord Peterson government and their powers.

Christina leads the uprising to have a new government but will this be any better, Xavi thinks is just same thing with a different leader. She gives the option of either Hail to the Queen or banishment, he chooses to leave the district forever for a better Life.
